Likewise, proper measures should be made by the government to let people notice the role libraries are playing.

It is indisputable that the possibility of having access to a library shares multiple advantages with people. Thus, in my opinion, the government should increase their funding to support and construct the facilities in the library. By learning knowledge from a variety of ground, people tend to treat things objectively and erase their stereotype. What is more, the language, knowledge and information which can be used directly in people’s life not only benefit their work and study, but also put them in a favorable position in the way of thinking of themselves. In addition to the literature, there are many picture books which contribute directly for people learning languages and characters offered by libraries. However, the library also plays a significant role in their life. There is no doubt that even though the standard of living is improving, many people are still illiterate in the world. This change in people leads society to change. As a result, constructing a library can cause the waste of resources. If we create a library and get access to books, it’ll be useless if we don’t have literacy. When you get some new knowledge from books, you can be skeptical about your situation, and you will get your own opinion about a society. According to research, the global adult illiteracy rate (aged 15 years and older) was 14 percent in 2019, which has remained almost unchanged since 2015. The more knowledge people gain, the more democratic society they can build. Furthermore, access to a library can have a good effect on people in developing countries. Therefore, if it’s not one’s highest priority, still the freedom of gaining knowledge has to be preserved. Regardless of countries, age, or abilities, people have rights to have access to knowledge as they like.

However, we can also find some merits for countries and people I mentioned above, and merits for us as well. According to research, the global adult illiteracy rate (aged 15 years and older) was 14 percent in 2019, which has remained almost unchanged since 2015. Additionally, there are people who cannot read in the world. So, access to a library can be a low priority in underdeveloped countries. Some developing countries may not need a library, because they’d like to spend money on something more essential for their lives, such as food, housing, and infrastructure. Is it necessary for everyone in the world to get access to it? We cannot say people around the world have access to a library nowadays.
